Who is Barbara Wildenboer?

Barbara Wildenboer is an award-winning artist with previous experience in site-specific installations, local and international.

She was the South African resident artist of the Unesco-Aschberg Bursaries Programme with Darat al Funun for 2006.

Wildenboer, who holds a B.Ed. degree from the University of Pretoria, majoring in psychology, is reading for her Master's in Fine Art at the University of Cape Town.

She has been selected for a number of national art competitions, including the Absa Atelier, Sasol New Signatures and the Brett Kebble Art Award.

In 2002 she was the overall winner of the Vuleka Art Prize and in 2006 she undertook a Unesco Aschberg residency in Jordan.

Wildenboer's site-specific installations include Epitaph at Darat al Funun, Amman, Jordan, and Bridge at the Spier Sculpture Biennale, Spier Wine Estate, Stellenbosch.
